Abstract:
Phytoplankton plays important role in coastal ecosystems. Phytoplankton blooms could cause bottom water hypoxia, seagrass reduction. It also significant influence the air-sea CO2 flux in coastal water. However, monitoring long term phytoplankton variation from satellite is still a challenge for coastal water. During the talk, I will present a new algorithm to derive long-term Chla time series in several coastal and estuarine waters, and show how to apply this Chla product to develop a Management Decision Matrix for local agency, to predict bottom hypoxia, and to estimate the air-sea CO2 flux from satellite observations.

Bio:
乐成峰研究员,博士,博士生导师,2015年国家青年“千人计划”入选者,现任职于海洋学院物理海洋与遥感研究所。2010年7月-2015年8月分别在美国南佛罗里达大学和美国环境保护总署墨西哥湾生态研究中心从事博士后研究。已在Remote Sensing of Environment, Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, Limnology and Oceanography,Geophysical Research Letter, Optics express等国际顶级遥感和海洋类期刊发表论文20余篇,引用1500余次 (源自:Google Scholar)。近五年的主要研究成果有:(1)针对水近岸浑浊水体的光学特性,结合水体辐射传输方程,开发了面向近海岸浑浊水体的叶绿素浓度多光谱遥感卫星的反演模型;(2)构建了基于遥感卫星观测的河口水质管理决策支持矩阵;(3)利用卫星遥感数据产品,在国际上首次开发了面向多光谱遥感卫星观测针对近岸水域 “缺氧区” 面积和体积的估算模型;(4)开发了基于遥感卫星影像的近岸海-气CO2分压半分析反演算法。
